The Fourth of July at Ferry Farm
Thursday, July 4, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Celebrate Independence Day at George Washington's boyhood home and discover our nation through this year's theme: "Spirit of America: This Land is Our Land" with a focus on ecology and the environment. Enjoy Colonial and Civil War re-enactors, educational programs, Washington farm archaeology, festive music, crafts and exhibitors, games, and hands-on activities for the whole family. A patriotic flag retirement ceremony with Congressman Rob Wittman as well as state and regional elected officials will be held at 1 p.m.
Food vendors will be on site. Free parking at the Eagles Lodge on Cool Springs Road with frequent shuttles to Ferry Farm (handicapped parking will be available at Ferry Farm). Cost of admission is $1 per person (under age 2 free). Learn More...
