February, 2008 ~ Col. and Mrs. Lewis

Col. and Mrs. Lewis, portrayed by Bob and Susan Bailey, enjoy the festivities during the Twelfth Night Celebration held in January at Historic Kenmore. Bob and Susan are members of George Washington's Friends, a group of first-person interpreters who portray colonial characters including the Lewises, the Weedons, Mary Washington, and George Washington. An affiliated group, George Washington's Young Friends, is a unique group of living history interpreters, all under the age of 18. They are dedicated to providing a first-person portrayal of the young people in the Virginia colonial and federal period.
