Pounds - Shillings - Pence

Lima shillingIn the old English monetary sytem, in use in the colonies in Augustine's day, the Pound was the basic unit of value (much like the Dollar today). There were 20 Shillings in one Pound and 12 Pence in one Shilling (or 240 Pence in one Pound).
