HVAC Vault

The geothermal heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system was installed in 2001 and is housed in an underground vault behind the north kitchen dependency. A closed-loop system of 17 "wells" on the property, is used to draw heat from the ground for wintertime heating and to sink heat to the ground during summertime cooling. The system also provides the historic house with air filtration, humidification as necessary, and smoke detection.
